¿Quiénes somos? — El Buen Socio
WHO WE ARE
El Buen Socio enables impact investment to reach projects that generate social and environmental benefits.
OUR ALLIES
Our working model is based on alliances with organizations that support or develop productive projects, which are at a stage where they require additional financing or co-financing beyond the resources provided by CSOs, and are ready to take on a loan.
Some of our main strategic allies are:
El equipo
We are an interdisciplinary team of people committed to Mexico and to the pursuit of equal opportunities for all.
Karla Breceda
She is the founder and director of El Buen Socio. Karla holds a degree in Economics from ITAM and a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard University. Before El Buen Socio, she worked at the World Bank, SEDESOL and Financiera Rural, designing social programs in rural areas and investment schemes for productive projects. With all this experience, Karla is determined to change the way things are done in Mexico to build a more inclusive country.
Monserrat López
She holds a degree in Public Accounting and Finance from the Universidad del Valle de México. She worked at SEDESOL, where she discovered her passion for improving people's quality of life; at Chamuchic, where she learned that perseverance is the key to success; and at Cowdfunder MX, an investment platform for innovative companies. Monserrat's experience with vulnerable groups and her desire to make Mexico more inclusive are the driving force behind her role at El Buen Socio.
Cristina Ortega
She studied Computer Engineering at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Before El Buen Socio, Cris worked at Financiera Rural designing and implementing information systems to optimize institutional processes. She has also worked in business, impact information, operations and technology areas at SEDESOL, the Ministry of Economy and the National Housing Commission. She now brings her experience to El Buen Socio, contributing to the generation of success stories with inclusive and differentiated financing.
María Luisa Chávez
She studied Public Administration and Political Science at La Sorbonne in Paris, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Creating and Managing Innovative Companies at the University of Barcelona. With experience at Natixis, an investment bank, and Venture Institute/AllVP, a business accelerator with an impact capital fund, María Luisa joined El Buen Socio ready to do her part for Mexico. Financial inclusion is the battle she chose to fight, and El Buen Socio is her trench.
